WHAS Thinks We're Stoopid!

WHAS 84 Radio thinks the people are stoopid. Today they had an "expert" on from the Institute for Energy Research. He told us the president's plan to require automakers to build cars with 35 mpg was bad and did nothing to solve Global Warming.

My problem is that the Institute for Enery Research (http://www.instituteforenergyresearch.org/) is funded almost entirely by Exxon-Moble. So why should I believe any fucking thing that comes out of their mouth?

Tony, the DJ, reading the scripted asking the questions who always complains about our dependence on forign oil never brought up the fact that this would reduce this dependence, even if the farce that it wouldn't help global warming were true.

From now on I'm listening to 88.1 WNAS, it's really good. http://www.wnas.org/

  1. If ignorance is bliss, you must be one blissful muthaf*cker... I'm familiar with the work the Institute for Energy Research has published -- all of which is sourced, factual, and irrefutable . Unless, of course, you have your own special set of facts that works for the predetermined argument you wish to make. I'm also aware that Exxon-Mobile contributed to the organization in years past. But I can't seem to find the source of your claim it was - and is - "funded almost entirely by Exxon-Mobile". Perhaps you could share the source of your claim with us? Or don't. Doesn't really matter. The point is that you - like many others - don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to refuting honest, FACT-based arguments about our energy policy, so you resort to the kind of nonsense we see here... "No way.. That's not true.. 'Big Oil' is saying it.. they're liars..."...

Grow up. And think for a moment about your last statement about "complaining about our dependence on foreing oil". You never brought up the fact that Washington lawmakers - no doubt the ones you support - have made a career out of opposing legislation to allow Americans to access the world-class oil resources they rightfully own off our shores and beneath our soil... But lemme guess - you're gonna say that "wont do anything to reduce our dependence on foreign oil"... An argument that defies common sense, but would love to have that debate with you...

  2. You are exactly right Anonymous just like the Council for Tobacco Research couldn't prove that smoking caused cancer. I take it all back............

As for the dependence on foreign oil, that is what the DJ is always complaining about. My opinion is we need to get off as much oil as possible, foreign or domestic before we all burn to a cinder.............

I know, I know, Global Warming isn't real....
